New Aquitaine is doing quite well for Luca Mozzato. Already 4th in the 7th stage of the Tour de France during a massive sprint between Mont-de-Marsan and Bordeaux, the Italian sprinter won for the first time among professionals in the Dordogne.
The second stage of the Tour du Limousin, 185 kilometers long and counting 2,500 meters of elevation gain, ended in a stormy sprint on an uphill slope. Well placed and taking advantage of the work of his adversaries, Luca dislocated 175 meters from the line and won with a bike in advance a victory which confirmed his qualities as a sprinter-puncher.
Note: The Cofidis team places two men in the Top 10: A.Mariault (5th) and J.Herrada (6th).
