As usual, the first part of the stage looks more like a parade where the riders savor petits fours and champagne, than a cycling race. However, as you approach the most beautiful avenue in the world, there is no time to get your room.
Entering the Champs..Elysées marks the real start of the battle. After only a few laps of the circuit, Clarke (Israel-Premier Tech) and Frison (Lotto-Dstny) come out on top and make the last breakaway of this Tour de France. Campenaets (Lotto-Dstny) freshly elected "most combative runner of this 110th edition" is also trying his luck but the pace imposed by the sprinters teams allows no escape. But what a champion despite everything.
For the ultimate sprint, the grail of all runners with well-developed hocks, note 3 Ekoï runners in the TOP 10: Coquard (Cofidis) 7th, Strong (Israel-Premier Tech) 9th, Mozzato (Arkéa-Samsic) 10th.
Overall, Guillaume Martin takes a good 10th place.
