EKOÏ double : Nick Schultz (IPT) wins ahead of Pogacar! (Tour of Catalunya - stage.1) S.Williams, 3rd.

The Australian rider from the Israel Premier-Tech team went solo at the kilometre mark and held off the comeback of Pogacar, who came out a little too late, to win the first stage of the Tour of Catalonia. It was a surprise victory and a masterstroke !

His teammate Stephen Williams completed the podium. A magnificent double for Ekoï!

Winner's statement: "With 500 metres to go, I looked around and decided to go for it, but I was surprised that there wasn't a counter-attack"(...) "I looked around with 100 metres to go and couldn't believe it, even at the finish line when I won" (...)
