On the very steep final stage of the Tour of Sharjah (6.3 kilometers at an average gradient of 8.4% !), the Spanish rider from Burgos BH (Ekoï helmet, glasses and shoes) proved to be the strongest.
With a solid comeback in the final hectometers, the 23-year-old won for the first time in his professional career, and gave Ekoï its first Middle Eastern success of the year.
