Kévin Vauquelin (General ranking): The panache of youth

After 10 podiums in 2022, Kévin Vauquelin confirms the hopes placed in him at the start of the 2023 season. Already at his best during the Etoile de Bessèges, the Arkéa-Samsic rider made his mark during this Azure triptych. He was predicted to be a thunderbolt, and he responded like a boss.

The Tour des Alpes-Maritimes et du Var hosted a tempting lineup with several tricolor cadors of the peloton: Thibaut Pinot, Romain Bardet, David Gaudu... Listed among the outsiders, Kévin Vauquelin finally did not tremble during the last two stages, finishing 3rd in each of them.

In the game of bonuses and yet the only representative of his formation in the final 50 kilometers, Kévin Vauquelin took his responsibilities by attacking, sometimes, following the right wheels, often. He showed an amazing maturity at just 21 years old. Hats off to the kid!
