"The day had started badly. It was hard to lose this morning Guillaume, our leader. He wanted to take the start and unfortunately, it was not possible. But the Tour de France continues and from the briefing, I explained that I wanted to go in the breakaway, especially since I already had 4 points in the mountain classification. I knew that I had a chance to get the polka dot jersey. In addition, Ion Izagirre was also in the breakaway. The stage victory became a complicated challenge and I managed to get the points I needed. It has always been a dream to wear a jersey in the Tour de France, whatever the color. I will try to do everything to keep it as long as possible, but you also have to know how to appreciate the moment!”
