CP EKOÏ Stradale x Koroyd
PRESS RELEASE
(How) Ekoï optimizes safety for professional cyclists.
Fréjus - France 01/12/23
On December 11, Ekoï unveils its new helmet, the Stradale, to the public. Born to meet professional riders' need for increased safety, the helmet houses the world's most advanced impact technology, Koroyd. Ekoï's objective is clear: to optimize cyclists' protection in the event of a fall.
A desire: to better protect riders' lives
Professional cyclists are riding faster and faster. This exposes them to greater risks of head trauma and injury. As an equipment manufacturer, concerned not only with the performance of its athletes, but also and above all with their safety, Ekoï has grasped the need to go beyond standards by offering a helmet capable of providing superior protection.
This strong desire was nurtured by exchanges with riders like Simon Clarke, who is particularly sensitive to the issue, and for whom the safety aspect must take precedence over the quest for ever greater lightness.
One goal: to develop the most protective helmet on the market
To rise to the challenge and offer its teams the level of protection in line with the level of risks involved, Ekoï called on Koroyd. Owning a material with a 30% higher absorption capacity than conventional EPS, the Monegasque company provided Ekoï with the component capable of significantly boosting the impact performance of its helmet.
Divided into five inserts forming "honeycombs" (heat-welded tubes), the Koroyd material was placed in the areas most exposed during impact. The aim: to minimize the risk of head injury.

A new reference helmet for all 4 Ekoï teams in 2024
The first Ekoï helmet to feature Koroyd technology, the Stradale helmet made its first public appearance on the Grande Boucle in 2022 with Team Lotto-Soudal. In 2024, it will be an integral part of the equipment of the four major Ekoï teams present on the World Tour: Arkéa-Samsic, Israël Premier Tech, Cofidis and Lotto-Dstny. It will be the star helmet of the Tour de France 2024. It will be available to the public from December 4 on the ekoi.com
